Engine details: |
L48. Stock, but with some smog equipment removed prior to my purchase. |
Other details: |
Repainted from 13/07 Silver paint before import into Uk in late 1980's. Now red, which in my opion, looks better! I don't pretend that the car's original, although it looks reasonably stock at first glance. |

Car history: |
Delivered to Bill Branch Chevrolet, Fort Myers, Florida, on 26th May 1978. Alas, nothing known of US history, and little known of its time in the UK prior to my purchase in 1990. Imported to UK in approx 1988, apparently from Florida, as the heater was by passed, the A/C worked perfectly, there is no rear de-fogger and the rad support was full of super soft white sand!
When we bought the car the first job was a thorough clean, inside and out, which took three solid weeks. Since then weve improved the paint, and generally tidied the car all round. Weve added a composites rear spring, Koni shocks all round, full dual stainless exhaust, new radiator, new O Ring callipers and brake hoses plus a few running repairs, bearings, U/Js etc and most recently a diff re-build. Its a great car thats been largely reliable and more importantly, given lots of fun, many new friends and opened the door to lots of enjoyment in the UK, Europe and the USA! |
